Many Miles of Groomed Snowmobile Trails

There are well over 1,000 miles of groomed snowmobile in and around the Chippewa National Forest, and many in Minnesota regard this region as the best trails in the state. Snowmobiling in MN really doesn’t get any better than this. You can even have your snowmobile right outside your cabin. There are multiple trails you can connect to just off the resort grounds. Itasca County’s Trail system ties into the very popular Taconite Trail which is very impressive. Big Timber’s location makes all of the Northern Minnesota snowmobile trail systems yours to explore over and over. And get this: this area has 13 snowmobile clubs that work hard to keep the trails in prime condition, as do our local county and state trail groomers. These people are dedicated to making sure everyone (including them) can be safe and have a lot of fun during the winter. You can always stop in at an area clubhouse for a break during a long ride and meet some new friends!

As always, before you head out, get your Trail Condition Report first!
